2003-03-21 - 9:32 a.m.

There was way too much driving all day. We left around 2 after running around and getting the last minute things done. The drive through Illinois was really long. Then we finally got into Missouri for a few miles. Then Tennessee and Arkansas. The drive through Mississippi was long too. We stopped at a lot of rest stops. We finally made it to Louisiana and got on 12 (10). It was just getting light then. The sun was in my eyes for the drive through Mississippi, Alabama, and getting into Florida. The tunnel through Mobile was a nightmare though, and I’m really dreading going through it again.

Thinking - "Elwood:"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."

Jake: "Hit it!"
